According to town's history, the name originated from the term "nido" meaning nests in Spanish. El Nido was remote from most of the inhabited island in the Philippines. It is hidden from the world until 1979.

 El Nido Garden Beach Resort is a three star Hotel, located on the edge of El Nido town, with both beachfront and road access.

With 10 Pool or Beach-facing Rooms, a Restaurant and Tiki Bar, small Gym, Spa and Swimming Pool, this is an ideal little resort.  Wi-Fi is offered in public areas but the whole of El Nido is poorly serviced so do not expect fast speeds.  Room Service and Laundry Service is available.

For early or late arrivals there is a Luggage Storage area, so guests can go out and explore before checking in or leaving El Nido. El Nido Garden Beach Resort is just a short walk to Caalan Beach and to the center of the town, with its many bars and places to eat

There is a private beach in front of the resort but enjoyment is gained through viewing only, swimming is not recommended due to the number of sharp and slippery rocks, and boats anchoring in the area

 But please note there is a strict rule about food and drinks purchased from outside, being brought in to the Resort or Rooms
